How do I maintain the Ruyan Electronic Cigar?

What does a Ruyan cartridge or e-cigar contain?

The cartridges contain water, propylene glycol, nicotine, scents and flavorings and a membrane to suspend these ingredients. None of these ingredients are classified as carcinogenic and all, with exception of nicotine, are generally regarded as safe by US and international agencies. Nicotine is extremely addictive.
 

What is in the vapor that is expelled?

Tests have determined that what is expelled is what is in the cartridges, since no chemical reaction takes place, i.e. as a result of any sort of ignition or burning, there can not be any change in the ingredients of what is expelled. When nicotine cartridges are used, tests have determined that the expelled vapor contains only minimal amounts of nicotine, less than 1%, and that amount dissolves within seconds and represents no health risk to bystanders.
 

What is Nicotine?

Nicotine is an alkaloid found in certain plants, predominantly tobacco, and in lower quantities in plants like tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants and green peppers. Nicotine is highly addictive and it is the chemical in tobacco smoke that causes smokers to become addicted. Its effects are not unlike caffeine, also a naturally occurring alkaloid, in that it causes an initial stimulation, and thereafter a feeling of relaxation, calmness, and an enhanced ability to concentrate. The effects of nicotine can last from minutes to hours. Nicotine has never been classified as a carcinogen.
 

Can the Ruyan electronic cigar be used where cigarettes & cigars cannot be used?

The answer is yes. But, expect that you will be asked about what you are doing. Technically, there is no tobacco in the cartridges and no smoke is produced in any form. It’s been our experience that the issue isn’t so much that a Ruyan product is being used, as it is that others might assume that it is acceptable to smoke- given how similar the vapor of the Ruyan appears to actual cigarette smoke. It’s important to note, however, that when a smoker inhales the vapor as they would smoke from a traditional cigarette, very little vapor is actually expelled and it’s possible to use the Ruyan without a smoker drawing a significant amount of attention.
