Partagas Cigars

The secret of today's rich Partagas cigars lies in their wrapper leaves. Grown in Cameroon, the Central West African country where the steaming, sub-tropical climate unique to the fourth parallel is ideal for growing superb wrapper leaves, Cameroon wrappers have no equals for rich flavor. Indeed, Ramón Cifuentes determined that he could begin producing his Partagas cigars again only after he had discovered, years after the Cuban embargo had begun, that the best wrapper leaves were being grown in Cameroon rather than in Cuba.

Partagas Black Label Cigars

In order to create Partagas Black Label, Daniel Nuñez and his colleagues spent 10 years perfecting the Medio Tempo wrapper and the La Vega Especial binder. Cuban-seed Medio Tempo wrappers are darker, heavier and richer than other wrappers because they are harvested only after they have been allowed to age on their plants 50% longer than other wrapper leaves. The La Vega Especial binder is sun-grown in the Dominican Republic to give it a deep, rich flavor of its own. To enhance the cigar's full-bodied character even further, the blend is a mixture of Nicaraguan Ligero and Dominican Piloto Cubano Ligero. These tobaccos and a larger ring gauge translate into a richer, fuller-bodied flavor. Partagas Black Label is an espresso of a cigar, extremely dark in color and extra rich in flavor.

Partagas Cifuentes Cigars

Partagas Cifuentes Blend is a limited-availability extension to the Partagas portfolio of cigars. It builds upon the legacy of Ramon Cifuentes by introducing a cigar specially blended for the Fall season by Ramon’s protégés, Daniel Nunez and Benji Menendez. Cifuentes Seasonal Blend cigars are medium-to-full bodied, rich in flavor, and use a special Honduran Medio-Tiempo wrapper, as well as Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos.

Ten years later, has released a phenomenal cigar to showcase only the most exemplary of his beloved wrapper leaves, those deemed worthy of the Partagas Limited Reserve Decadas designation. Filled with a blend of proprietary tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and from the remote Nicaraguan island of Ometepe, and bound with fine Honduran San Agustin leaf, Partagas Limited Reserve Decadas cigars are dressed in flawless, ten-year-old Cameroon wrapper before undergoing a rigorous aging process in rooms crafted exclusively of fragrant Spanish cedar. Partagas 160 Signature Series Cigars

When Partagas 150 debuted in 1996, the lion¹s share of cigar connoisseurs sought cigars in longer lengths. At that time, Cigar Master Daniel Núñez had the foresight to set aside a limited quantity of smaller and medium size wrapper leaves for continued maturation. Now, an entire decade later, as the trend for smaller cigars continues to gain momentum, Daniel Núñez released a limited quantity of cigars adorned with this superlative wrapper which bears the same striking quality and flavor as Partagas 150 before it. Cradled in a handsomely understated wooden box, Partagas 160 cigars will be available until their supply is depleted.

The Cameroon wrapper from 1977 has been married to the crème of the crop of Mexican San Andréas binder, and has been masterfully blended with long-filler Dominican Piloto Cubano and Mexican San Andréas leaf. Each component has been sorted three times to ensure a great concentration of flavor. A beautiful cigar from start to finish!
